Launch of the matchmaking phase of the SAFE project
The PAUSE programme is pleased to announce the opening of the « matchmaking » phase of the SAFE project « Supporting At-risk researchers with Fellowships in Europe », launched on September 2024.
This project, funded by the European Union, aims to support researchers at risk (outside the EU) through 60 grants for research stays in the EU. The scheme is aimed at researchers at doctoral or post-doctoral level. PAUSE is a member of the European consortium in charge of this project, alongside with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) the project's coordinator, Campus France and the Mediterrannean Univerities Union (UNIMED).
Key information:
- The optional matchmaking phase will be open from October 21 to December 13. SAFE offers a matchmaking service that links researchers at risk without a host institution in the EU with institutions wishing to host a researcher who matches their project.
- The call for applications will be launched on November 18 and will be open until January 20. Applications must be submitted by potential host institutions, not by the researchers themselves. A host institution may submit only one application.
- A webinar for host institutions and researchers will be held on November 19, from 2pm to 3.30pm (Paris time) to present the call for applications and the matchmaking procedure. The presentations will be followed by a discussion with participants.
