Launch of the Supporting At-risk researchers with Fellowships in Europe (SAFE) project
The PAUSE programme is pleased to announce its participation to the Supporting At-risk researchers with Fellowships in Europe (SAFE) consortium, a European project to support scientists in danger.
The SAFE project, funded by the European Union, will be launched in September 2024. PAUSE is a partner of this initiative which aims at supporting 60 researchers at risk from various countries and disciplines. The scientists selected will be granted a 2-year fellowship to pursue their research in a host institution in an EU Member State. This pilot project is planned to run for three years, with €12 million in funding from the European Union.
Coordinated by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the European consortium in charge of the project includes the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED), Campus France and the PAUSE programme, hosted by the Collège de France.
Details of the timetable and selection procedure for the researchers will be announced later in September 2024.
